Incorporated in February 1991 in the Portuguese School of Naval Marines, were has completed the Officers Course for Naval Marines, he was placed in the Naval Command of Madeira as an aide-de-camp of the Naval Commander.
Joined the Military Academy in 1992, he completed the course in Military Administration. Having performed various functions in the Army, in the field of finance and management, it is worth noting the functions of Head of the Branch of the Military Maintenance and manager of the Officers Mess in Évora; Head of the Department of Budget of the Logistics Finance Center; member of the Working Group to survey the Head of Logistics Support and Army Personnel.
After completing the Army and Joint Staff Courses, in 2014, was placed in the Army General Staff, where he served as Area Coordinator and Head of the Financial Resources brunch of the Resources Division.
In this context, he integrated, among others, the working groups for the implementation of Strategic Management in the Army, for the survey of Project Management Standards in the Army and for the review of the Planning and execution processes of Missions Abroad, having belonged to the team responsible for the development of the information system SIRCPME.
Lieutenant Colonel Carriço Pinheiro is a doctoral candidate in Strategic Communication, at Universidade Nova de Lisboa and has three postgraduate degrees: in Information Warfare / Competitive Intelligence, by the Military Academy; in Project Management, by the Autonomous University; and in Security and Defense by the Military University Institute of Portugal (IUM).
Currently placed at IUM, he is a professor of Communication, Public Relations and Interaction with the Media in the Human Behavior and Resource Management Area , researcher at CIDIUM, reviewer at the Revista de Ciências Militares and member of the Monitoring Committee of the IUM’s Scholarship projects.
